New Work

My love for art and painting took root early in my life, growing out of the picturesque Hudson Valley in upstate New York, where the ever-shifting light over the river and the rugged beauty of the seasons awakened my eye to color, form, and atmosphere. Those early impressions planted the seeds of a lifelong pursuit.
I carried that passion with me to the State University of New York at Albany, where I earned my B.F.A. in Painting. My studies deepened not only my understanding of technique but also my sense of art as a vessel for storytelling—a way to translate the world’s beauty, mystery, and complexity into something personal and enduring.
Over the years, travel has become an essential part of my creative life. Wandering through historic cities, remote landscapes, and unfamiliar cultures has profoundly shaped the way I see. Each journey leaves behind a palette of impressions—sunlight on ancient stone, the rhythm of crowded markets, the quiet solitude of foreign coastlines—that inevitably surface in my work. Travel has taught me that painting is not only about observation, but about memory and transformation, turning fleeting experiences into lasting expressions.
Today, I continue this journey as a full-time oil painter living and working in Beverly, Massachusetts. My studio is both anchor and departure point: a place where the voices of my travels, my past, and my imagination merge on canvas, inviting others to wander alongside me through landscapes both real and remembered..
